JVibe decided it was time to provide you with some hot and current news on our past cover girls/guys, as well as the stars we feature in our Pop Life interviews. Since JVibe gets the first scoop on young stars like our Jan/Feb coverguy Joe Trohman from Fall Out Boy and March/April's Sara Paxton, we want to keep you updated on their success! Then, when they become as huge as past cover-celebs like Natalie Portman and Zach Braff (don't worry, we've got them covered, too), you can say you saw it back in the day when JVibe got the story. In this corner of our Pop Culture section, Adam will always be here with Adam's Vibe on the Jews you love most. (And if you've missed seeing them in print, subscribe now to JVibe magazine.)

Sara Paxton's (Pride, March/April 2007) newest movie, Sydney White, co-starring fellow MOT Amanda Bynes, was released in theaters nationwide on September 21. The PG-13 comedy features a college freshman, Sydney (played by Bynes), who decides to pledge her mother's respectable old sorority, but is horrified to discover that the organization has degenerated into the female equivalent of Animal House. Hooking up with seven socially inept classmates, Sydney instead pledges to bring honor and respect back to the college campus. Paxton co-stars as Sydney's sorority tormentor, Rachel, who is president of the Kappa Phi Sorority at Southern Atlantic University in the movie. For more information on Sydney White, check out Corey's film review and visit the movie's official website at www.myspace.com/sydneywhite.

Josh Schwartz (Take Action, September/October 2005), creator of The O.C., has a new teen show on the CW Network called Gossip Girl, which airs Wednesday nights at 9/8 central. Filmed in New York and based on the popular series of young-adult novels by Cecily von Ziegesar, Gossip Girl focuses on a group of privileged prep-school teens in Manhattan's Upper East Side who learn all about the secrets of their friends from a blog written by the mysterious “Gossip Girl,” whose identity is unknown. The show tries to “keep track of the shifting friendships, jealousy and turmoil in this wealthy and complex world.” For more information on the new show, go to Gossip Girl 's official website at www.cwtv.com/shows/gossip-girl.

Mila Kunis' (Personal Satisfaction, November/December 2005) newest movie, Moving McAllister, was released in theaters on September 14 to mostly negative and tepid reviews from critics and fans. In the movie, Kunis plays a wealthy boss's daughter who embarks on a cross-country road trip to Los Angeles with a nutty passenger (Jon Heder) and a young man who's trying to make it big in the law industry (Ben Gourley). For more information on the movie, go to its official website at www.movingmcallisterthemovie.com/about.html.

Miri Ben-Ari (Pride, March/April 2007) was recently featured on the cover of the fall issue of Jewish Woman Magazine and was noted as one of 10 Jewish women to watch in the New Year. Ben-Ari was also recently featured on the cover of BabagaNewz, one of JVibe's sister publications at JFL Media. The Sopranos won three Emmys on September 16 at a ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, garnering awards for Best Drama Series, Best Directing in a Drama Series and Best Writing for a Drama Series. In attendance, of course, was Jamie Lynn-Sigler (Friendship, December 2004/January 2005) and her fellow Sopranos cast members. Sigler is now working on a new movie called New York City Serenade, a story of two down-on-their-luck childhood friends struggling to figure out their lives. The movie co-stars Chris Klein and Freddie Prinze Jr. and is currently in post-production.

Greg Grunberg (Truth, January/February 2006 and online: www.jvibe.com/popculture/jewish_chameleon.shtml) resumed his popular role as Matt Parkman on the hit NBC show Heroes on September 24.

The Black Eyed Peas (Love/Sex, July/August 2006) recently performed for the second time in Israel on September 9 at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem at the Jerusalem Rocks! International Music Festival.
